The Classic Liner Sock, from 1000 Mile, has a Tactel liner and is a sock within a sock. In the winter these socks can be used as a blister preventing base layer under a thick pair of socks to give 4 season performance. In the summer they can be used on their own with lightweight summer shoes and boots.
With a high cotton mix outer they are ideal for summer walking and will provide 3 layer warmth when worn with traditional winter socks.
Blister Free Hiking
The unique double layer construction of 1000 Mile Socks means that blisters are virtually eliminated. The inner, Tactel layer of the Classic Liner Sock stays snug around the foot while the cool cotton and nylon outer moves with the shoe. This reduces friction on the skin, thus helping to prevent blisters.
The inner layer is also very high wicking and will move moisture to the more absorbent outer layer, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.
